Chat with strangers.
Strangr is free, anonymous chat with random people online — by text, voice or video, you choose. You'll be paired with someone for a private one-to-one conversation — no sign up, no profile, no phone number. Not feeling it? Skip to the next person whenever you like.
Add an interest to be matched with someone who likes the same thing, or just start and talk to anyone.
What Strangr offers
Strangr pairs you with a random person for a private one-to-one conversation — text, voice call or video call, whichever you pick — with optional interest matching so you meet people who like what you like. Share photos, voice notes and view-once pictures, react and reply to messages, and skip to someone new whenever you feel like it. Hit it off? Save the conversation as a private room you can both come back to — with voice and video calls when you're both online. Rooms need just a username and password, nothing else: no email, no phone number, no personal details. And random chats stay anonymous with no history — everything is deleted the moment either of you leaves.
Looking for an Omegle alternative?
Omegle shut down, and most replacements — Umingle, OmeTV, Emerald and the rest — bolt on accounts, ads or paywalls. Strangr keeps the original idea: press a button, meet a stranger, talk. Text, voice call or video chat with random people worldwide, free and anonymous, straight from your browser.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Strangr a free Omegle alternative?
- Yes. Like Omegle, Strangr connects you with a random stranger for a one-to-one chat — by text, voice or video — and lets you skip to someone new any time. It's completely free and there's no sign up: no account, no email, no phone number.
- Is Strangr like Umingle and other random chat sites?
- Strangr covers what people come to sites like Umingle, OmeTV or Emerald for — random text, voice and video chat with strangers — and adds interest matching, photo and voice-note sharing, and private rooms you can save when you hit it off.
- Do I need an account to talk to strangers on Strangr?
- No. Tap Start and you're matched with a stranger in seconds. Random chats are anonymous and leave no history — everything is deleted the moment either of you leaves.
- Can I video chat or voice call strangers for free?
- Yes. Pick Text, Audio or Video before you start. Audio gives you an instant voice call with a stranger and Video is face-to-face, Omegle-style — both free, with no app to install.
